While social media sites like Instagram and Twitter seem like the perfect places to promote advertisers, there’s a good chance your Discord server is left underutilized. It may seem odd to throw a random “check out this advertiser/product” in the flow of conversation. Fear not, because there’s a simple solution.

Everyone likes to save money, and no one wants to spend more than they have to. When you find a great deal, you usually share it with your friends. So, why not share it with your community? Keep an eye on your advertisers and when a great deal pops up, post it in a channel specifically for deals on your server. Be sure to use a deep link that tracks back to you, and to disclose that it’s an affiliate link. (Also, don’t post your affiliate links in other Discords if they have a deals channel. Keep it to your own server.)


If You’ve Got it, Flaunt it

Another great way to showcase your advertisers and their products, is to encourage your community to show off what they’ve bought. Have specific channels for people to show off what they’ve bought using your links. A lot of people like to stand out, and be the center of attention. This encourages them to not only use the links, but talk about how much they like the products. Treat it like a review page, for yourself, as well. You’ve partnered with the advertisers, so you believe in them. Show off why you do.


Keep an Eye Out

Your community talks about all manner of things. After a while, you can get a pretty good idea of what they’re interested in, and what they like to buy. This comes in handy when you’re looking at new advertisers to work with. The better you know your community and their habits, the more likely you’ll be able make the most successful and profitable partnership.


Any space your community congregates and talks to one another is open for business. Once you get the hang of naturally promoting advertisers, you’ll see the opportunities all around you.
